John Anderson MBE

John’s background

John has a passion for helping people to improve their performance and achieve successful outcomes in extremely challenging sporting and business environments. His passion is underpinned by long experience of supporting high performance and leadership development in Olympic sport, as well as in business and military sectors.

As a Team GB Performance Director for 20 years, John led exceptionally talented Olympic and Paralympic athletes and coaches to achieve 16 Olympic and 5 Paralympic medals including five Gold medals at Rio 2016. He was Chairman of the Team GB UK Performance Director’s Forum, that provided advice to government ministers and departments on high level policy for sport in the UK.

Now, as an executive coach and group facilitator, he applies a relational coaching philosophy to unlock his clients’ true potential and drive high performance and effective leadership. Clients include KPMG, the NHS, financial advisors Hampton Dean, a legal practice and several UK Universities.

Professional Training and Qualifications

John  completed his Masters Degree in Executive Coaching at Ashridge Business School.  He is accredited by The Academy of Executive Coaching and the International Coach Federation.  He is qualified to use a range of psychometrics including  MBTI, Firo-B and Hogan assessments. He was awarded the Sword of Honour for outstanding leadership by the Royal Air Force, and in 2013 received the Olympic Sport Award of Honour.
